Just Beachy!-- Sarasota Venice Child & Family Beach Photographer

So this adorable family chose to vacation in Sarasota & asked me to capture their time together on one of our fabulous beaches. What a wonderful time and a beautiful family! Here are some of my favorite shots..

Thanks for stopping by! If you like what you see, please leave a comment. (Feedback is always super awesome. :)

Marina Jack's Park-- Sarasota Child Photographer

At long last I finally got a chance to do a photo shoot at Marina Jacks Park.  For those of you who don't know, Marina Jack's Park (don't think this is the actual name) is a public park right on the water in the heart of Sarasota that has super fun fountains,  a huge jungle gym and a real-deal tikki bar within 20 paces of the kid stuff.
When she was first led to the fountains, this little one was cautious, but after only a few minutes she was running around and screaming with the best of 'em (giving her father a heart attack for fear she'd crack her head open). Naturally, I was at the ready with my camera to photograph the fun, but both me & my trusty Canon got soaked getting these shots! It was so worth it. After all was said and done, she had a blast, and I got a much needed cool down!
Things are really lookin' up this summer!

Afternoon with Grammy-- Sarasota Child Family Photographer

This weekend we got to spend an afternoon with Lorelai's Grammy whom Lorelai hasn't seen since she began walking almost a month ago.  Lorelai had a blast running around the yard with her sack filled with finger puppets (compliments of grammy)--and had even more fun at the beach later on! Oddly enough, the monk's favorite part seemed to be when she got nakies at the outdoor beach showers so we could wash the sand from her lil' tush! She kept shouting, "More! More!" when we told her it was time to leave. The surrounding people had a good laugh.... ice-cold  outdoor showers are not the least bit inviting to the rest of us!

A Tale of Two Sisters-- Sarasota Child Photographer

I had the happy opportunity to photograph two of the sweetest little girls this past weekend. The weather cooperated and was sunny, cool and inviting--perfect for a good romp out in the park! My favorite moment had to be when the younger one stopped to ask me if I thought the fairies we had been trying to find and chase at the park, might throw bombs at us. Shocked, I asked, "What on earth would a fairy bomb look like?!" To which she replied, "An explosion of flowers at our feet!" I love this little girl! Here's a peek into some of my favorite photos from our session..

The most beautiful family-- Sarasota Child Photographer

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my neighbor and her gorgeous family a few weeks ago, and she was kind enough to let me share some of the photos I took of her beautiful babies with you. I had so much fun getting to know them all--such wonderful and distinct little personalities! There is something about photographing children that makes my heart sing. They are so un-reserved, natural and free-spirited. As a teacher, it's easy to get caught up in all that I want to instill into kids to help them to be successful in the world, but spending time with these little ones had me realizing just how much I can learn from them!

Sunday Morning at the Park-- Sarasota Child Photographer

Part 1: Perspective
Tyler and I discovered a local park today which worked out perfectly with this weeks' assignment in Brook Snow's Lifestyle Course. The first assignment is to take a photo and shoot it using different points of view. My concept here was simply that I was trying to get a portrait of Lorelai. Here's the first shot (head-on) & the different points of view that followed.
She was squirming out of the chair so I set her on the ground, where she was more content.

Part II: Less Is More
It was a beautiful morning as we head out to a North Port park that's hidden in the middle of nowhere on the opposite side of I75 in the area known as the estates. (That's short for I can't remember the name of it!) Ever tolerant of his photographer wife, Tyler spends some quality family time with Lorelai and hams it up for the camera...
should I have come in tighter here? I feel like I'm always photographing feet which is why I ultimately kept the angle slightly wider). Is that a consequence of photographing a baby who really isn't able to run and play on her own?

Dad needs a break! --Isn't that a cute little berry that fell by their toes?

the pic above doesn't really belong with my "Less is More" classwork, but I just love the 'It doesn't get any better than this' look on Tyler's face!

And that's all folks!
